I'm pretty sure she meant the first part. The last part isn't a bug, it's a feature.
I've heard that the first movie was awful because it wasn't written well. Apparently they only had 6 weeks to write the script and cast the characters, and I don't think anyone can work well like that--writers or actors--whether the plot is awesome, or Meyerish. The second one seems to be made better, but I've noticed a distinct downturn in interest among teenagers.
I've realized that, in order to maintain the current level of integrity in my own writing, I dare not watch or read anything of Twilight. I'd absorb its low quality, and it will so dilute my awesomeness that I may never recover.

Re: Robin Hobb
Though I *might* eventually watch the Twilight movies, I will not read the books, I think. I have a problem of me being a 33 year-old mom of three who might begin lusting after teenage boys. Wieeeerrrrddd. The whole series has spawned a group of "Twilight Moms" who are just that.
*Edit--I just realized that I wrote that without having read the final posts. I like to change subjects without warning, like turning without my blinker

Best Yoda quote ever:
"Around the survivors, a perimeter, create."
Has me in stitches every time.

Their own maturing reading journey, everyone has, hrrm. Enjoy it now, he may, but later on, realize it is crap, he will. Hrrm. Patience and understanding for such souls we must have, for not yet as awesome as we, they are. With time, however, as awesome they may become. Hrrm.
Need a Yoda emoticon, we do. Cut it, this one does not.

Actually, I think he's enjoying it...
He was getting really smug and telling me I wasn't allowed to read it. I replied, "Don't worry, Dad, I wouldn't want to read it."
That shut him up

Re: Robin Hobb
Of course it's silly! Superman lets the bad guys shoot him in the chest, but he ducks when they throw the gun, Mermaid Man's diapre actually is tighty-whiteys and the old TV Batman? Talk about silly...POW! BIFF!
I reserve the right to be a silly superhero...on a budget. So I'm wearing tighty-whitey's over blue jeans, my T-shirt has a magic-marker "W" and my cape is a beach towel. My identity is protected by clear safety glasses, that do not hide my eyes at all. Was a pole-vaulter in high school, so I don't have any leftover athletic equipment to act as a codpiece...
But none of this will prevent me from foiling Evil Plots from Nefarious Bad Girls! You have been warned! (Us Good Guys always give warning: might win more often if we didn't. I'll bring that up at the next Good Guy Convention!)

That doesn't mean it isn't silly.
At least get yourself an evil codpiece, like Darth Vader.

Re: Robin Hobb
Hah! You missed! My underwear could never be sized large: you aimed at the wrong target. And even had you scored a hit, they're on the outside, so any heroic...um... equipment remains protected! *continues posing, but has to turn to keep the wind blowing the cape in the right direction*

Fruit of the Loom, size large. I wonder if I can get my itching powder there from here. *reaches for CO2-powered gun*

I don't mind being less than awesome. I'm the underdog good guy, taking on the awesome and awesomely evil ladies: makes me the hero of a great story!
*strikes a suitably arms crossed heroic pose, (underwear on the outside of his pants), with cape blowing in the wind*

The Dodge Caravan is a minivan manufactured by Chrysler, along with its rebadged variant, the Plymouth Voyager. Both were introduced in November 1983, for the 1984 model year — followed by the Dodge Grand Caravan and Plymouth Grand Voyager long-wheelbase (LWB) models in 1987, the rebadged Chrysler Town and Country in 1990, and the Volkswagen Routan in 2008.
